A total of 54 member group of Block and Gram Panchayat representatives of Kargil and Leh (Union Territory Ladakh) and their Govt. Officials along with officials of Uttarakhand Govt. visited the center yesterday on 17th February, 2021. These members were on their tour to understand the Panchayati Raj in Uttarakhand and managed to visit the RSC. Center organized guided visit to the group in various galleries and also showed 3D film, which features global warming and climate change. In 3D film theatre, Dr Kailash N Bhardwaj, In-charge RSC Dehradun discussed issues of environmental degradation and global warming, its impact and mitigation measures. The group was delighted to understand the importance of science popularization and to visit The Himalaya Gallery, in particular. They were keen to develop such science centers in their areas for students and general public.
