Modelling for enhancing water quality in Uttarakhand

Review Meeting of the project entitled “Modelling for enhancing water quality in Uttarakhand using geo-spatial techniques” funded by WTI, DST, GoI , New Delhi held on 30th Jan, 2018 at UCOST, Dehradun.

A review meeting held at Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology on 30/1/2018 to discuss the progress of the project entitled “Modelling for enhancing water quality in Uttarakhand using geo-spatial techniques”  funded by WTI, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India , New Delhi. Dr. D. P. Uniyal project PI welcomed the dignitaries and gave a brief background of the project. He said Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology actively working with The Energy Resource Institute (TERI) New Delhi, DAV (PG) College and UJS for the social Upliftment of Uttarakhand state by enhancing drinking water quality. During the meeting Dr. Prashant Singh Co-PI discussed the water quality parameters undertaken in the previous projects.Dr. Vinay S. P. Sinha Co-PI gave a presentation on “Enhancing Water Quality Using Geo-spatial Techniques” and assured a capacity building training programme for the junior research fellows, Pranendra Kumar Kaushik, S. Khadija Bari and AnkitaPokhriyalJRF and Vikas Chandar Junior scientific Assistant are also the part of the meeting. PI and Co PI’s appraised Dr. RajendraDobhal, Director General UCOST regarding the progress of the project and he appreciated the same.
