UCOST & NASI Uttarakhand Chapter jointly organized a Plantation Week (Harela Week) from 16th July to 23rd July, 2020

Uttarakhand State Council for Science & Technology (UCOST), Dehradun and National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI), Uttarakhand Chapter jointly organized a plantation week from 16th July to 23rd July, 2020 on the occasion of Harela festival. In the inaugural of this plantation program Dr Rajendra Dobhal, Director General, UCOST, Dehradun told that the theme of this plantation is fruiters. Many fruit’s plants will be planted during this week. On this occasion, Prof. R. C. Sundrayal, Head, Dept. of Forestry, HNB Garhwal Central Unmiversity, Srinagar appreciate the initiative taken by council.  Shri G. S. Rautela, Advisor, Science City said that everyone should adopt atleast one tree for his conservation in the future. This program will go upto 23rd July, 2020. There are more than 300 Plants have been roped in the Vigyan Dham premises at Biodiversity Park. In this occasion Dr. D.P.Uniyal, Dr Ashutosh  Mishra, Shri Amit Pokhariyal, Dr Brijmohan Sharma and UCOST & RSC staff were also presented.
