World Biofuel Day Celebrated at UCOST, Vigyan Dham on 10th Aug, 2017

World Biofuel Day  – World Biofuel Day is Celebrated at RSC, UCOST, Dehradun on 10th Aug, 2017  sponsored by Ministry of Petroleum & Energy, Govt. of India, New Delhi,  jointly organized by UCOST & NYCS, Dehradun. Shri Prakash Pant, Finance Minister, Govt. of Uttarakhand was the chief guest of the program. Dr. Rajendra Dobhal, Director General,  UCOST welcome all the dignitaries and participants of the program. He told that Human & Animal waste is reach source of Bio- fuel. He also briefed about the importance wind mills. Shri Sahdev Pundir, MLA, Sahaspur told that uttarakhand people had taken initiative in the field of bio-fuel but due to lack of awareness, the program was not successful. Chief guest of the program Shri Prakash Pant told that our environment is very helpful in generating bio-fuel but we have to maintain a balance between them. A systematic approach should be there for generating bio-fuel. He also told that we have to maintain balance between food & fuel. He said that as per data available, we have gain 17% growth in the sector of bio-energy in 2010. Vote of thanks was given by Shri Sarvesh Kumar Sinha, DGM, LPG, IOCL. Shri Rakesh Dobhal, State Coordinator, NYCS was the convener of the program. After the inaugural session Shri Prakash Pant also visited Regional Science Center.
