Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Workshops
Intellectual Property protection plays a key role in gaining an advantageous position in the competition technological game for achieving economic growth. It has been increasingly felt that the immense traditional knowledge base associated with biological diversity of the state needs to be documented and bio-prospected on priority basis. Right for traditional knowledge of Geographical Indication, protection and promotion at international area is also unexplored area Thus, to scout, spawn, sustain and market these products, Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST), Dehradun have taken initiative in collaboration with National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), New Delhi and Patent Office, Delhi and following Seminars and workshop have so far been organized:
