Intellectual Property Rights Workshop organized by UTU, UCOST and GRD Institute at Dehradun.
A One Day Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) was jointly organized by Uttarakhand Technical University, Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology and GRD Institute on 24th August 2015 at GRD Institute, Dehradun.
The Chief Guest, Shri. Gajendra Singh, Ex VC, Doon University and Dr. Rajendra Dobhal, DG, UCOST inaugurated the workshop. At the outset of the inaugural session, Dr. Garg, VC, UTU welcomed the guests, resource persons, other dignitaries and participants from various fields. The Director General, UCOST briefly discussed the value of IPR in arenas like R&D, academia, industry etc. and its role in development of scientific temper.
The technical sessions were delivered by various IPR experts. Dr. Tabrej Ahmad, CoLS, UPES started technical sessions with a keynote lecture on Introduction to IPRs. Mr. Anil Kumar, Scientist-B, UCOST delivered a series of lectures that brought forth the much-necessitated information on the fundamentals of Patent registration and Technology Commercialization. Mr. Manoj Kumar, Scientific Assistant, UCOST delivered a session on Comprehensive Patent Search. The proceedings accommodated various interactive sessions which largely benefitted around 200 participants.
