Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology is engaged in numerous programmes to promote scientific talent and temper in the State. Uttarakhand State Science and Technology Congress (USSTC) is one of these programmes and is organized every year. USSTC is meant exclusively to promote the scientific talent and provide encouragement to the budding scientists and researchers of the State. Science Congresses attract considerable attention of the researchers and have been widely successful. In order to have participation from engineering and technology disciplines, from third Congress onwards it is now called as "Uttarakhand State Science and Technology Congress (USSTC)".

 

 

Objectives

Main objectives of the Uttarakhand State Science and Technology Congress (USSTC) are to:-

  1. Scout excellence in R&D. Promote interest and provide support for S&T.

  2. Share research findings amongst scientists, research groups and communities vis-à-vis learning opportunities at one platform.

  3. Provide opportunity to all the researchers within Uttarakhand to showcase their contribution and join with recognized experts, policy makers and academic leaders.

 

8th Uttarakhand State Science and Technology Congress will be congregation of eminent scientists from various parts of the Country to discuss the Contemporary/ State specific issues in the following three Brain Storming Sessions-

1- Occupational Health Hazard

2- Medicinal and Aromatic Plants

3- Genetically Modified Crops
