RURAL SCIENCE CONGRESS: 17th Uttarakhand State Science and Technology Congress – 2023

Under the aegis of the 17^th Uttarakhand State Science and Technology Congress – 2023 (USSTC), the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology will host the first-ever RURAL SCIENCE CONGRESS from February 10-12, 2023.

PART A: This year the 17^th USSTC will be held as Rural Science Congress, laying emphasis on “Rural Science and Technology”. It will place a significant focus on rural science, technology and innovation, as well as how these topics are applied to rural communities, rural development, rural entrepreneurship, and traditional knowledge systems. At Rural Science Congress, farmers, practitioners, researchers and innovators will be given a platform to present their successful case studies, innovations, products, techniques, and new ideas. Leading scientists will interact with participants in discussions about relevant scientific knowledge and best practices in order to enhance rural well-being. There will be an exhibition where rural individuals, entrepreneurs, NGOs, SHGs, academic institutions, and government agencies, among others, will display their best work. The themes for in-depth conversations will be Rural Livelihood, Rural Informatics & Communication, Rural Innovation & Technology, Rural Entrepreneurs, Start-Up’s & Market Linkages, Rural Traditional Knowledge Systems, and Rural Culture & Tourism.

PART B: Council invites abstracts of original research work, experiments and success stories related to the theme from research fellows and researchers studying/working in different R&D research institutions, universities, colleges and any recognized, private or autonomous Science and Technology organizations located in the Uttarakhand State in the following disciplines :-

The selection of the abstracts will be done after a rigorous screening process and selected abstracts will be called for Oral Presentation during the congress.

The registration fee will be submitted along with abstract (payable by way of Demand Draft) for the Congress is as follows:

1. Research Scholar (without scholarship) –           Nil
2. Research Scholar (with scholarship) –           INR 1000.00
3. Other in-service –           INR 2000.00

Note – Registration fees for the withheld abstracts will be refunded to the candidates after completion of the Congress.

One copy of abstract of the research work (editable MS word) and in the format provided at website along with required DD drawn in favour of Executive Chairman, Uttarakhand State Science and Technology Congress; should reach to Organizing Secretary, 17^th Uttarakhand State Science and Technology Congress by post and email (usstc17@gmail.com) both till 15^th January, 2023 at the above mentioned address.
