Training Programme on Co-operative Society Management
Under the framework of “Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay Vigyan Gram Sankul Pariyojana” 2 day’s training programme was organized jointly by Uttarakhand State Council for Science & Technology and SEED Division, Department of Science & Technology (DST), New Delhi during 27th to 28th February 2021at Institute of Cooperative Management, Rajpur, Dehradun. Participants from Bazira (Rudraprayag), Bhigun (Tehri), Kausani (Bageshwar), Gaindikhata (Haridwar) and from newly proposed clusters including Henwalghati (Tehri), and Shakumbari were present during the training. The programme was inaugurated in the gracious presence of Dr Rajendra Dobhal, Director General. Subject experts from Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM), Dehradun described about the principles of society, Functions, management of records, maintaining of registers and accounts etc. Second day programme was started with the welcome of Dr Mahesh Sharma, Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi Central University and chairman of the project. Dr Sharma interacted with the participants and briefed about the societies responsibilities and future activities. Dr Prashant Singh, District Coordinator, UCOST, Dr Piyush Joshi, Senior Scientific Officer, Mr Alok Gupta, Co-PI, Mr Santosh Rawat, Mr Devendra Singh, Mr Paras Upadhyay were present during the training programme. The training was ended with the distribution of certificates to the participants.
