The 15th and 16th Uttarakhand State Science and technology Congress concluded on 24th June, 2022 at Graphic Era University, Dehradun
The 15th and 16th Uttarakhand State Science and technology Congress concluded yesterday in Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun. The joint congress was organised by Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology, Uttarakhand Council of Haldi and National Academy of sciences, Uttarakhand Chapter. In collaboration with Graphic Era University, Dehradun from 22 – 24 June, 2022. On 3rd concluding day the Chief Guest of Valedictory function the chief Guest of Dr. Rakesh kumar, IAS, Chairman Public services commission of Uttarakhand congratulated awardees and gave suggestion to researchers of the state to contribute in development of the state through science and technology with a sance of responsibility. Dr. Kumar further motivated young researchers to take up and provide solution in health sector in general and Covid-19, in particular. In his address Dr. Rakesh kumar said that UCOST must focus on skill development training of science and technology and also in biotechnology. So that state could place it self almost the developed state of country. On this occasion Dr. Rajendar Dobhal, Director General Uttarakhand Sate Council for science and technology, Dehradun brief about the awardees of 15 and 16 USSTC- 2020-22. A total of 75 young scientist/ researchers from all over the state got young scientist award. Among them 32 were male and 43 female. All the awardees were felicitated by the chief guest with certificate and monentos. Highest number of awards were received by G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and technology pant nagar, while H.N.B Garhwal University Shrinagar were second. The Innovator of the year award of both 15th and 16th were received by Sh. Shiddharth Madhav, NIOS, Dehradun and Sh. Sushant Shekhar, Graphic Era University , Dehradun respectively. Dr. Sanjay Jasola, DG, Graphic Era University , Dehradun appealed to the participants and young scientist in the development of the state through research and innovation. In his remark by special guest Dr. B.R. Arora, Former director, Wadia Insitate of Himalyan Geology, Dehradun inspired th young scientist to do new research.
