An Online Meeting was held on 24th September 2022 under Adarsh Champawat Uttarakhand@25 an initiative by Government of Uttarakhand. In this regards experts from Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS, ISRO) Dr. Harish Karnataka (Scientist/Engineer-SG & Head, GIT&DL) and Prof. J.S. Rawat, Technical Advisor, World Bank Sponsored Program on Integrated Geospatial Platform Database & Application were present along with the UCOST officials Dr. D.P. Uniyal ( Joint Director), Dr. Piyush Joshi (S.S.O), Dr. M.S. Rawat (S.O.), Mr. Manoj Kanyal and Er. Gaurav Chamoli. The meeting is related to space technology and its application related to Adarsh District Champawat as a concept of G-governance. As under ISRO’s data sharing policy and its usage for the development of state, IIRS offers its technical support and guidance on data sharing as per requirement/needs of line department functioning in the district. Whereas, to avoid the duplicity of data and its validity the consensus was given to use existing SDI facility which was earlier present at UCOST for its up-gradation and to fetch all relevant information at common platform/server. Further, capacity building for the existing GIS Cell already established in all 13 districts along with the capacity building workshops will be conducted in support of IIRS (ISRO), NRDMS (Almora University)& UCOST in the coming weeks.
