Celebration of National Technology Day 2023 at UCOST

On the occasion of National Technology Day 2023, Uttarakhand State Council for Science & Technology (UCOST) organised a popular lecture under the theme “School to Startups- Igniting Young Minds to Innovate” on 11 May 2023 at Vigyan Dham, Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST), Dehradun. Welcome address was delivered by Dr D. P. Uniyal, Joint Director, UCOST. He talked about historical perspective of science and technology in India and use of technologies in various areas like agriculture, health and medicine, transport system etc. The Guest Speaker of the event was Rear Admiral Om Prakash Singh Rana, AVSM, VSM (Retd.). He talked about the importance of National Technology Day and the collateral effect of science and technology on society. He delivered his lecture under the theme ‘Path to Progress- A Perspective’. He emphasized on character building, service to nation and history and advancement of various defence technologies. The session was coordinated by Dr Aparna Sharma, Senior Scientific Officer, UCOST.
